Handbags made from recycled materials in the UK

The nushi team make all of our handbags by hand in Herefordshire, UK. We pride ourselves on the fact that we use recycled materials that would otherwise have gone to landfill.

Recycled fabric bags

We started using offcuts of materials that would have been thrown out by the factory. It seemed such a shame to see fabric going to landfill, so we decided that we would use it to create bags instead.

One of our most popular bags is one of the very first bags we ever made. These recycled polyester tote bags are perfect as reusable shopping or carryalls.

The other really popular recycled fabric bag accessory we make is our handbag liner. This keeps your handbag clean as the liner can be removed and machine washed. We custom make these handbag liners, so if you need a specific size, let us know.

Recycled inner tube bags

More recently we started using waste from a local tractor tyre dealer to make a range of recycled inner tube bags. The rubber in these inner tubes make them the perfect hard-wearing waterproof material for a bag.

Recycled inner tube backpacks like our Oak backpack are perfect for active sports and adventure travel. The backpacks have external and internal pockets to hold your valuables.

Bryony is a simple eco-friendly crossbody bag that retains the authentic shape of the inner tube it is made from.

Ash is a large messenger bag or laptop bag with lots of internal pockets to carry laptop, recharging cables, and notes.
